Disorientation 30.11.05

Daniel Green needs to sort out his tech stuff (could have been great, wasn't bad, but I need to know that he meant to make the sound, visuals worked wonders but all I could hear was hum for sound, sorry).
The Bloodied C@#t performance was most entertaining but I wanted to see Joh Wah kicked out (as Ben said "he danced with the devil and won").
Winner needs to write a song.

Such is the problem when one doesn't have foldback monitors [at least that was my excuse]. I didn't even know the hum was there until I finished, which is most annoying.

Otherwise, it was all intentional; albeit in a "what's this button do kind of way." The whole thing needs work, but that's probably the last time I sit behind a laptop for a while. If anything came out of last night, I realised I need to be a rock star again. Jon Wah just didn't cut it... so to speak.

As for Winner, they don't necessarily need to write a song. They just need to cover some new ones.

Yeah.
I am still very disapointed in the bloody cunts.
I think the new members just aren't interesting- there is no longer a sense of reflexive humour gone wrong - its as if they just don't get it themselves.

I think making bad music well is actually a tight rope; there is such a thing as being good at sucking.

I believe that it is mostly about the deliverance- you can appear out of control, but you have to ultimately be in control enough to deliver your point.
For example they should have mic'd up Jon Wah properly. Conversely, they should have not mic'd up the other vocalist- or at least had him at a lower volume.

These things are just those little things that the crowd won't notice, but will walk away going: 'that was really bad but somehow fun' or something.

I guess the trick with such performances is to make it look like a fluke... I think the reason I was dissapointed is because the last time I saw them- it was really a fluke, which I mistook for, dare I say talent.
